Into a sporty future
The year 2024 for AEZ was defined by innovation, diversity, and forward-looking solutions. For us, sporty wheels that can be fitted with internal combustion engines, hybrids, and electric vehicles have become standard. Proving that dynamism can go hand in hand with efficiency and sustainability has been and continues to be a key priority at AEZ.
Caribbean flair in the wheel well
The new AEZ Havanna launched at the start of the year. Its ten spokes form a propeller-like structure, with a distinct ribbed recess at the rim flange, connecting the individual spokes into five sleek double spokes.
This wheel is available in sizes ranging from 8.0×19 to 10.5×21 inches, with finishes in "glossy black front-polished" and "glossy gunmetal". The Havanna is particularly suited for large and heavy SUVs, BEVs, and hybrids, such as the Mercedes EQC, Audi SQ8 e-tron, BMW i7, Tesla Model Y, or S Plaid.
Dream pairings captured on camera
In the first half of the year, we paired the Havanna dark with a customised Tesla Model Y LR for a photoshoot. The creator, renowned car customiser Tesla Moe, gave the bright red 517-horsepower electric sports car a sharp, sporty look, which we captured in a picturesque Austrian top winery location.
Another striking duo featured the avant-garde Peugeot 408 and our progressive double-spoke AEZ Montreal dark. Set against a modern building with wooden elements, the pair exuded a futuristic charm.
Electric performance with a bold finish
By late summer, Volkswagen’s electric flagship, the ID.7, made an elegant appearance alongside the AEZ Porto dark. With its angular, striking cross-spoke design, it added distinctive accents to the sleek, aerodynamic saloon.
Later in the year, the Havanna dark made another statement for sporty electric mobility – this time paired with the extraordinary Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. This wheel is the only one on the market with ECE approval for the Korean electric sports car, which presents a true technological challenge. Beneath its baby-blue exterior, the Ioniq 5 N houses dual electric motors producing a combined 650 horsepower, delivering power to all four wheels.
Shedding light on technical details
We delved into the differences between electric vehicles and combustion engine models, explaining what these differences mean for wheel selection – offering a clear guide for customers.
We also focused on the high load capacities required by SUVs and explored the importance of the right wheel/tyre combination, ensuring customers can confidently find their ideal wheels. Additionally, we uncovered the secret of contrast, explaining how front-polished rims can be used to create striking accents.
Inspired by our community
Our community was once again a vibrant and inspiring force in 2024. Across our social media channels, we enjoyed many exciting posts and interactions with our followers.
To end the year, the AEZ Advent Calendar made a return, offering fantastic daily prizes as a token of our gratitude. The overwhelming response to the Advent Calendar confirmed the strength of our community.
Into 2025 with drive!
