| RC44 AUSTRIA CUP: FANTASTIC START The AEZ RC44 Sailing Team got things going on the first day of the Fleet Race Series extraordinarily and is leading the high-quality cast competition after two races. After the direct duels, for the first time the entire fleet was sent out to race around the course today in Gmunden. The wind was late again, but the patience of the sailors, the organizers and the fans was rewarded with two exciting runs. In the first run the Dutch from No Way Back had the best result, and the AEZ Team lit the fuses after a botched start and sailed from twelfth to sixth place. In the second race helmsman Rene Mangold drove outstandingly due to the brilliant tactics Markus Wieser (GER) and Christian Binder instructed, and sailed from the beginning an almost perfect path. After the last turn the AEZ Team finally took control and crossed the finished line as the first boat, accompanied by a strong thunderstorm of jubilant cries. With that, the home syndicate led the field in front of Ceeref and Synergy. The tight point distances lead us to anticipate an extremely exciting continuation. The Fleet Race Series will be continued tomorrow with up to four races, and the RC44 Austria Cup will be decided on Sunday. |

| Voices: Rene Mangold: "We have shown today what was hidden in us and finally at our home auditorium were able to give a good result. The victory of the day is a huge satisfaction for everyone, which no one can challenge us about. The entire team had done a first class job, we are of course extremely happy, but we have at the same time both of our feet on the ground. The tight distances and the unbelievable density punishes each little mistake. Tomorrow we all start from zero again." Fleet Race: Intermediate Standings after Two Races: 1.
