| RC44 Championship-Tour 2012, Puerto Calero: FLEET RACE, Day 3: STRONG MOVE The AEZ RC44 Sailing Team came out completely looking like a new team in comparison to yesterday, making the first win of the day at Puerto Calero, Due to a strong team performance they catapulted themselves into 8th Place. The 14 teams-strong fleet was led after six races by the French AC Syndicate Aleph. The opening rounds of the Championship Tour 2012 will be concluded tomorrow. Self-Promotion In reference to the setting of the events, the race course offers anything a sailing heart can desire. The enormous quality of the 14 cockpits is unparalleled throughout their kind, and the fact that anyone can beat anyone can makes the perfect package. There was fantastic theater again today at Puerto Calero, which ran in favor of the AEZ men. Steersman Rene Mangold and Christian Binder and Co. came over the finish line in 5th and 8th Place, and tore through the intermediate ratings into 8th Place. Contrary to yesterday, where not so much worked out for them, the newly formed team (with German Match Race Champion Markus Wieser as the tactician) acted splendidly today. They sailed once in their own league and won with about a minute advantage. In both of the other races they were in the middle, but not really on top. They refreshed themselves at the peak, with Peninsula Petroleum (GBR) slipping from first to third, resulting in Aleph (FRA) being the new overall leader. Tomorrow the RC44 Puerto Calero Cup will be finalized with further races, and the whole shebang will move on to Portugal where on March 28th at Cascais the second tour stop will be rung in. |

| Voices: Christian Binder (Trimm & Lead Tactician): “What we did wrong yesterday we made right today. We were calmer, communicated well and proved ourselves as a team. The day’s victory had shown what can happen when we function perfectly. However, in the last run we had made too little of our possibilities. Bottom line, it was a very good day, which like yesterday we strove to not overestimate. The field is tight together, but it is possible in the front as well as in the back. We will attack tomorrow again at full force and hopefully be rewarded.” Intermediate Resultsof the RC44 Puerto Calero Cup, FLEET RACE (7 Races): 1. Aleph (FRA) 32 2. Team Aqua (GBR) 33 3.
