![]() Wednesday, May 11th 2011 A Game of Chess at the Traunsee Match Race Day in Ebensee Today’s match race day was in Ebensee, at the south end of the Traunsee. It was especially exciting for the audience to watch the duels of two against two. The goal of the match race is to make your opponent make mistakes. As in chess, one tries to get advantages for oneself. The AEZ RC44 Sailing Team had the tactician Peter Evans on board in San Diego. He switched to Team Ironbound. The Austrian team with Christian Binder went directly into the duel against the American team. The AEZ RC44 Sailing Team stayed at the rear of Ironbound to attack and frame them to get a penalty. Tomorrow, Thursday the fleet races are next. The owners will be participating actively. The races continue until Sunday for precious points in the RC44 Champions Tour. René Mangold will be mate of the “Upper Austrian”. Livestream YouTube www.rc44.at |
