![]() For the king's favor Austria’s Olympic Champions want to join the World Cup before Palma to shake hands with the King. The Austrian sailing alliance has nominated thirteen athletes for the European start of the season. Altogether 45 nations are participating in the Spanish World Cup which is carried out by the Royal Family. After the successful start of the World Cup overseas (Melbourne) the expectations are big. The Austrian sailing alliance is hoping for two places in the finals. Also Thomas Zajac and Thomas Czajka are in the game. The duo has gained muscles and weight in the winter season to place stronger accents with heavy and middle weight in the second World Cup season. The Junior World Champions (Tornado) have finished the seasonal preparation program before Palma. The Carinthian Lara Vadlau is trying the 470s with Eva Maria Schimak (24) for the first time before Palma. The 17 year old Youth Olympic winner and her partner from Lower Austria want to make the impossible happen and pass the qualification hurtle for the British games. At the same time the student is also aiming for yet another medal in the ISAF Youth Worlds before Croatia. The Palma World Cup starts this coming Monday with the qualification rounds.
