| THE WORLD IS WATCHING GMUNDEN Austria´s offshore asses are mounting the ring of the victorious America´s Cup protagonists thanks to the support of their partner AEZ. It´s the third run for the well manned RC44 Austria Cup. The successful Ac-Achse´s duel from BMW Oracle Racing has been official since yesterday and guaranties the Traunsee world wide publicity and a full house. It´s the first time for Russel Coutts (NZL) and James Spithill (AUS) to cross each other at the gates of Gmunden at the 33. America´s Cup. Syndicate boss Larry Ellsion, CEO of the Software company Oracle and according to Forbes the sixth richest man in the world, will act on Coutt´s side. Spitthill who held the wheel at the Cup-Duel before Valencia will get backing from the tactic genius John Kostecki. Beside the two BMW Oracle teams who have set sail at the Traunsee, altogether ten teams are mentioned for the second tour stop of the RC44 Championship series 2010. At the showdown, sailing will be from 29.April to 04.May. The local AEZ RC44 Sailing team sails as a newcomer, but with big confidence. Due to the successful start of the season before Dubai the home field advantage is expecting something, furthermore the main sponsor AEZ, the leading brand in the European market for automobile light metal bikes, has prolonged it´s commitment. “The dynamic, technique and the design of the RC44 class matches our products perfectly, apart from our commitment to the offshore sport, we also want to add accents to the upcoming dynamic boat classes. This sport is a plausible communication platform to us”, explains Alexander Riklin, president and shareholder of the Alcar group, the partnership which was put together by the PROFS presidents Christian Feichtinger and Peter Farbowski. “The collaboration with AEZ was prolonged until 2011, and makes us able to plan long term and in sports terms” says Farbowski, who promises the spectators an exclusive show. “The preparations for the RC44 Austria Cup are mounting to full speed.
