 Premiere with an accidental ending
The first VLN race of the season came up with a very special premiere at Land-Motorsport: The brand new GT3 RSR with Bilstein design. However, not only the race but also its pilots Marc Basseng and Johannes Stuck were promising a thrilling race. At five minutes past noon it was sure that the team would start form P2. In this context we want to thank the whole crew, which has been working many hours night and day to prepare the car fort the „Green Hell“. After having lost some seconds in the first laps the new duo step by step recaptured the P2.
Johannes Stuck nearly instantly revealed all his talents and scored good lap times. „My compliments to you“, head of team, Wolfgang Land, said. Together with his dad he watched the race from the pit lane and seemed to be glued to the lap counter. Before the last pit stop he was 31 seconds in advance compared to the third place. Then the catastrophe came like a bolt from the blue: Marc Basseng was just preparing for the driver change and Johannes Stuck was doing his final lap as the car suddenly crashed in the area of Metzgesfeld.
